Luxury and Convenience – The Chelsea Stratus

The Chelsea Stratus (101 West 24th Street) is a high rise condo built in 2007. The scale of the building is impressive. With 200 units soaring 37 stories, the Stratus is the tallest structure in Chelsea. The building contains all the amenities and top line finishes typical of new construction condos built in that time period. The units all feature floor-to-ceiling windows and are assigned a corresponding private storage room. Each apartment also provides outdoor space, but if that’s not enough, there’s a well appointed roof deck (including 2 grills and a dog run) with absolutely spectacular views. Other amenities include a fitness center, a basketball court, a garden (also with a grill), and a large residents’ lounge with dining area and full catering kitchen.

Now, as for location, most New Yorkers probably haven’t given much thought to the corner of 24th and 6th. It doesn’t firmly sit in any one neighborhood. It’s part Chelsea, part Flatiron, maybe even part Flower and Garment Districts. But the beauty of this location is how central it is. The F, 1, and NR lines are all within a block’s radius. And Park Avenue South is an easy walk if you need the 6 train. You’re also in strolling distance of Union Square, the Village, Gramercy, and the Highline.

So, there you have it. If you’re looking for high rise luxury in a super convenient location, you couldn’t do much better than the Chelsea Stratus.
